Documentary
When Maria and Martina had their son Iven they knew legal problems weren't far off. They live in Switzerland where lesbians are denied the right to marry and insemination procedures to have children are also forbidden by law. Adoption is ruled out too. And they are not alone either; many other European citizens find themselves in the same situation as Maria and Martina. This documentary illustrates the daily life of 7 lesbian, gay and transsexual families in Catalonia, Greece, Holland, France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy and the struggle they face to have their rights as a family recognised by the State.
