The Rediscovery of “Vingarne” (1916) – the First Queer Film Comes from Sweden

The English film theorist and author Richard Dyer (“Gays and Film”, “Now You See It”, “Stars”) will introduce us to the historical background of the oldest obtainable film featuring a gay topic. “Vingarne” was created by Mauritz Stiller (1883-1928), who is also said to have discovered Greta Garbo.
