The Pink Apple Award will be awarded by an independent jury of experts. Films submitted for the film contest must not be older than 2 years, and should be Swiss premiers if possible. They should captivate their audience and should be adequately crafted.
Carmen Bregy creates cultural and scientific projects and works as a freelance author („Im Stillen umarmt“, 2009) and advertiser. She has published poetry and short prose in anthologies and journals, and recently a novel („Nicolas schläft“) and her own collection of poetry and short prose „Südhang, Tod“.
Simon Froehling, a Swiss and Australian national, lives as a freelance author and translator in Zurich. His most recent work includes the novel „Lange Nächte Tag“ (2010) and the audio drama „Moi non plus“ (2012). He has won several prizes, among others the Swiss Authors’ Society’s drama prize. In 2012 he was nominated for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize.
René Krummenacher, raised in the canton of Baselland, has worked as a cameraman and scriptwriter for Rosa von Praunheim in Berlin and Los Angeles. He has also directed several short films and edited video clips for various Swiss bands. He lives with his partner and his dog in Zurich and Basel.
Veronika Minder is an art historian, a dramaturge and filmmaker („Katzenball“, 2008, „My Generation“, 2012). Originally active in the music and fashion businesses, she went on to work as manager of the Cellar Cinema and the Cinema Cosmos in Berne. There she co-founded the film festival Queersicht.
