The ESC - or “Grand Prix de la Chanson” as it was called until 1991 – stands for the marketing of gay music pleasures and hereby has formed specific stereotypes, which will be examined in this special. Along with two documentaries, the scientific analysis of queerness and mainstream culture by Dr. Peter Rehberg, professor of German Literature and Queer Studies in Austin, Texas, will be central to this programme.
